Starting the Journey

“Retire the word ‘retirement’ from your vocabulary. Look it up: it means to ‘withdraw’ or ‘retreat.’ Words can shape reality, and it’s time for this one to go. Doesn’t ‘renaissance’ or ‘graduation’ or ‘transition’ better describe your post-career life?”

– Marika Stone, author

These words capture my sentiment about this next chapter in my life. Yes, after a rewarding and wild 40 year career in real estate development, I am “moving on” …I define this ‘transition’ as my Second Act. I hope you will join me as I write about the adventures (and trials) of this journey, and I hope you are inspired along the way.

Cheers to the Second Act! Rita
